ShowHippo didn't start as a product. It started as the tool we wished we had.
We're Chris and Chase. We manage rental housing in Vermont, and for years our showings lived in the worst possible places: a listing-site inbox, a notebook by the door, a group text, and whatever we could keep in our heads. We drove across the state for applicants who never showed. We double-booked. We forgot to follow up.
So we built something. First just a shared google calendar, then a small app for our own company (Chris also works in software). It offered times, sent the reminders, got confirmation, and collected feedback on our apartments. The no-shows mostly stopped. Our evenings came back.
Other landlords and property managers kept asking if they could use it. That's what ShowHippo is: our internal tool, rebuilt (and hella refined) so any company or even a solo landlord can make it their own.

We're not trying to be your marketing site or property management platform, we sit between them and handle the part everyone hates: the scheduling. Ideally, the full tenant lifecycle would live on one app. But if you're like us and aren't big enough for the big software packages, you need a good showing tool. We made data import smart and data export easy so moving between platforms is as painless as possible.
ShowHippo is free for now while we grow. We're building it with the landlords and managers who use it, so if there's something that would make your week easier, we genuinely want to hear it.
